Aldeia Inhãa-Bé

This is one of the 3 educational projects supported by Heart of Living Yoga Foundation in Manaus - Amazonia - Brazil.

A big Maloca has been built to support the wisdom sharing of the natives from Tikuna and Sateré-Mawé ethnicities (and other native families) to keep alive their rituals and traditions and to pass their knowledge, abilities and wisdom down to their children. It is also used to receive tourists interested to discover more about their traditions which brings an extra income to their families.

They have a space dedicated to teach their children their native languages, extra school classes, native grafism symbols, hand made pieces from Amazon seeds, natural fabric clothes painting, healing power of plants, native music and much more. Our next step is to cover this community space with indigenous straws as soon as the river waters goes up and we are ble to transport the bundles of straw from the northern part of the jungle.
